The Event- In the spirit of togetherness, we are starting an annual event meant to inspire community and connection. This will be a formal retreat atmosphere meant to reawaken the spirit and reconnect the mind and body. Yoga, Meditation, Swimming, Hiking, Eating, Sharing, Etc. All meals and lodging are covered under the registration fee.
The agenda will be formalized closer to the event and you will have the opportunity to choose your own schedule during the retreat. Everyone will be in a cabin, but these are rustic and you will need to bring your own linens and pillow. The cabins will have some electricity, but no running water. Bathrooms and showers are available on site. This is a rustic retreat. The Venue– Group Camp One was built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corp and is considered an historic landmark. The buildings are constructed of Crab Orchard stone that was hand hewn and quarried in Tennessee. The camp is located in a rustic setting nestled above Lake Woodhaven. The 36 rustic cabins, which do not have air conditioning or heating, sleep approximately 120 people. In addition to the cabins, the camp provides a large dining hall with full service kitchen and fireplace, a picnic shelter area, guard gate, field bathhouse, three extra counselor buildings, and a boat dock located on beautiful Lake Woodhaven. There are four bathhouse (two showers in each), sinks, toilets, running water and hot water.
The camp consists of three different sections. The red section contains nine cabins, a bathhouse and counselor cabin. The white section contains 11 cabins, a bathhouse and a couselor cabin. Cabins have views of Lake Woodhaven. The blue section has 11 cabins, a bathhouse and counselor cabin. The rustic cabins cannot be individually rented.
Campers must bring their own linen, paper products, cleaning supplies, food, ice; and charcoal or wood for fire. Provided in the kitchen are two ovens, two stoves, two sinks and refrigeration, freezer, a walk-in cooler/refrigerator and freezer. The park does not provide soap or dishwashing detergent.
